Blue Lock Season 2 Episode 7 Recap
The episode picked up where Episode 6 left off as U-20 captain Oliver Aiku read Yoichi Isagi's off-ball movement and successfully cleared the ball, stopping the Blue Lock team's attack. Yoichi recognized Oliver's ability to read the field and sense where the greatest danger lurked as a defender. Determined to rise to the challenge, Yoichi needed to defeat Oliver in a match. As the game continued, Team Blue Lock pushed forward with their triangle formation led by Rin Itoshi in the middle. However, the U-20 "Iron Wall Quartet" defenders - Miroku Darai, Teppei Neru, Kazuma Niou and Oliver Aiku - stopped the Blue Lock attempt. The U-20 team crossed quickly, passing the ball to Sae Itoshi, who organized a counter-attack. With a great pass, the U-20 team moved the ball deep into the Blue Lock territory and set up Sendo Shuto for a clear goal move. However, Gin Gagamaru deflected the attempt with a great save.
The ball remained in play and Sae tracked it down near the goal line and sent a remarkable left-footed shot that curled perfectly into the net. The stadium erupted and the goal momentarily dented Yoichi's confidence. However, Rin approached Yoichi and told him not to get overwhelmed and urged him to focus. After the goal, Sae refused to celebrate with his teammates and criticized their inability to finish. He despised Sendo, calling him a "scumbag" for missing his earlier opportunity and claiming he had no choice but to score himself.
