Review
Alright. So today I’m back with yet another chapter review, and today we will go over chapter 258, which is insane. Be sure to stick to the end because you don’t want to miss it.
Recap of Chapter 257
To start off chapter 258, let’s read the text at the top to remember what happened in the last chapter. It says, “Isagi ties the game with a spectacular mid-air volley as he leaves Kaiser and Rin in the dust. The world erupts in amazement as the ball smashes into the back of the net.” We get back to when Isagi scored his unbelievable twogun volley. Everyone is blown away, and the commentators are screaming “Goal!” over and over again.
We also see the live reaction to Isagi’s goal. Everyone is jumping out of their seats to celebrate with our poster boy. Even Isagi’s first true fan is shown, and we can see how his eyes absolutely lit up when he saw this goal. The commentators call Isagi’s goal amazing and say he pulled off a mid-air direct shot, bringing Bastard Munch back into the game as the scores are even.
The Players’ Reactions
Isagi is understandably over the moon and looks so happy, which makes me happy as well. However, the players who are everything but happy are both Rin and Kaiser. They burst out screaming in anger for Isagi. This means Rin and Kaiser will probably give it their all and try their hardest to ruin everything for Isagi.
Kaassu wonders how Isagi switched his shooting foot in mid-air, while Tokimitsu calls Isagi a monster. Reiici is just as ecstatic as Isagi and starts screaming. Nanasi looks scared, saying Isagi is still evolving. Shida, the first PXG player to react, calls it a fantastic explosion.
Isagi and Kunigami’s Rivalry
As Isagi comes down, Kunigami tells him not to expect any more passes, calling him an overly dependent egoist. Isagi agrees, saying they should keep devouring each other, which adds to their rivalry. Then out of nowhere, Hiyori jumps on Isagi, complimenting him on the amazing shot.
They high-five, and Hiyori asks how Isagi visualized everything from Hiyori’s alley cross to Kunigami’s assist and his goal. Isagi explains how he believed in Hiyori’s perfect pass and Kunigami’s assist, saying the duel against Shida was crucial in creating the opportunity.
Isagi’s New Weapon
Isagi didn’t plan on scoring the way he did. Instead, he improvised using Nagi’s amazing juggling shot as a reference. Hiyori agrees, saying it was a combo of Nagi’s creativity and Isagi’s direct shot. Isagi, humbled, admits he stole it from Nagi and now has his ambidextrous mid-air quick draw, or twogun volley.
Hiyori explains that if Isagi can recreate the shot consistently, he will become unstoppable. Isagi realizes he’s developed an incredible weapon and feels empowered. Noah also notices, deciding to center Bastard Munch’s strategy around Isagi instead of Kaiser.
The New Dynamic of Bastard Munch
Noah switches the team’s tactics, sending Grim out and bringing Corona in. Isagi is thrilled, knowing this shift will give him more control over the game. With Corona back on the pitch, the dynamic changes completely. Isagi can now focus on scoring another goal, crushing Kaiser, and taking control of Bastard Munch.
Isagi feels confident and motivated, visualizing himself as the best player in the Neo Egoist League. His new weapon, combined with his strategy, has put him on the path to becoming the world’s best player.
Conclusion
To wrap things up, it was incredible to see Rin and Kaiser so mad about Isagi’s goal. But the best part is how happy and supportive Hiyori and Isagi are of each other. I’m excited to see Corona back in the game and can’t wait to witness more of Isagi’s evolution.
As Noah places all his trust in Isagi, it’s clear that the team’s future revolves around him. With Isagi’s newfound confidence, the next chapter promises to be even more exciting.
