Review
Chapter Overview
Alright, so today I’m back with yet another chapter review, and today we will go over Chapter 247, which is insane. So be sure to stick till the end because you don’t want to miss it. Chapter 247 starts off with Rio reading some of the comments about him and Nagai. Someone says that Nagai and Rio are dragging their feet too much and that it’s no wonder their salaries are down. A lot of people are calling Nagai a one-hit wonder, even saying that his goal must have been a fluke or something.
Reo looks concerned and glances over at Nagai, asking him to talk for a minute. Rio mentions that now that he’s down to the 16th place with a 34 million offer, it’s starting to feel dicey with the cutoff point at 23rd with 18 million. While Nagai is still in the safe zone with 40 million, if they mess up in the next game, they could end up at 24th or even lower, which is the real danger zone.
Determination to Change
Before Rio can finish his sentence, Nagai agrees, shocking Rio by saying he was thinking the same thing. Nagai has a serious and determined look on his face as he tells Rio that the two of them need to change. He reflects on the comments and admits he’s been feeling a bit off ever since they won the first round.
Nagai reveals that he’s lost the fervor he once had and feels like he’s simply been lost. He has an aura we’ve never seen before, indicating a deep sense of obsession. He says that if they don’t start to change, they’ll never reach the world’s number one spot. Rio is initially taken aback, but eventually, his eyes light up with determination as well, agreeing to Nagai’s call for change.
Noel Noah and Ego’s Strategy
We then move on to Bastard Munchin’s monitor room, where Noel Noah talks to the team. He explains that for the upcoming PXG game, they will use a style that balances both offense and defense. Noah emphasizes that if they don’t secure the number one spot, they won’t be remembered, motivating the team to make their mark in history.
After Noah steps out, the surprise guest Jinpachi Ego takes over. Ego reminds the players about the key to winning the Neo-Egoist League, stressing the importance of originality, which he equates to hunger. He tells them that it is this hunger that defines their true originality and what they truly desire from their efforts.
Final Thoughts on Nagai and Rio
Moving back to Nagai and Rio, it’s great to see that they both understand the need to evolve. Nagai looks like a completely different person, with an aura that’s both intense and inspiring. It’s clear he’s ready to give it his all to make a comeback, and we’re excited to see what Rio’s plan will be.
While Nagai and Rio’s transformation is crucial, we can’t help but feel for FC Barchan. With players like Barou almost carrying the team, it would be tough to see them lose again. But we hope that they will bring something new to the upcoming match to keep the competition exciting.
Ego Jinpachi’s Role and the Arc’s Progression
It was refreshing to see Ego Jinpachi return, even if briefly, to give his motivational speech. Although he’s been out of focus due to the masters taking the lead in guiding the players, we’re hoping to see more of his character as the arc progresses.
While this arc has been quite long, almost nearing 100 chapters, it has also given us many unforgettable moments. Ego’s emphasis on originality and the players’ hunger adds depth to the story, highlighting the internal struggles and ambitions of each character.
Speculations and Theories
We’re still left wondering about Kiora’s role in the upcoming match. His aura and increasing appearances make it clear that something big is in store for him. Will he align with Isagi and Hiori, or will he side with Kaiser and Ness? Or perhaps he has an entirely different plan in mind.
