Chapter Summary
Alright, so today I’m back with yet another chapter review, and today we will go over chapter 235, which is insane. Be sure to stick around till the end because you don’t want to miss it.
We begin chapter 235 with the ball still high up in the air from Barou and Aiku’s block. Everyone is rushing to get their hands on it, but the ones who get there first are Aiku and Kunigami. However, Aiku uses his outstanding jumping skills to head the ball first. The ball bounces on the ground before it goes to Aiku and Kaiser. But suddenly, out of nowhere, Isagi comes and is able to get off a pass to Hiyori on the side.
Hiyori’s Dilemma
Hiyori gets the ball, and Isagi screams at him to go one more time. Thanks to that, Hiyori knows that Isagi still believes in him. Hiyori thinks the best thing to do is to reset their attack and surpass their previous winning vision to create a brand-new attack pattern. But just as Hiyori is getting ready to attack with Isagi, he sees two silhouettes of his parents behind him, telling or almost forcing him to shoot the ball, expecting great things from him.
Breaking Free from Expectations
Hiyori struggles with his thoughts as he reflects on his journey in Blue Lock and the expectations placed on him by others. He finally decides that he won’t hide behind people’s expectations anymore and will believe in himself. Even if he ends up alone, he wants to take control of his own destiny. He then fires off an incredible shot against the goal, betraying Isagi, who looks stunned as the ball flies past his face. Unfortunately, Sendou manages to tip the ball just enough to prevent the goal.
Isagi’s New Formula
Despite Hiyori’s missed shot, Isagi recognizes that Hiyori has given him a clue to his ultimate winning formula. The next chapter is titled “Sayonara,” hinting at possible developments that could see Isagi and Hiyori’s paths diverge. Isagi’s reaction to Hiyori’s shot indicates that he’s learned something crucial for his gameplay.
Thoughts on Hiyori’s Play
Seeing Hiyori play solely for himself was unexpected and refreshing. His amazing shot was blocked, but the effort was inspiring, and it might set the stage for Isagi’s next move. Hiyori’s struggle with his role in the team and the weight of expectations suggests that he could evolve into a midfielder, supporting Isagi’s strategies.
Kunigami’s Role
Kunigami’s absence from the spotlight raises questions about his current role in the game. It will be interesting to see if he plays a significant part in the final moments of the match. A goal from Kunigami might serve as his redemption arc, reigniting his presence in Blue Lock.
Sendou’s Save
Sendou’s impressive save redirected Hiyori’s shot away from the goal, showing his skill in defense. Although disappointing for Hiyori, the save was well-executed and played a crucial role in keeping the match tied at 2-2.
