Review
Alright, so today I’m back with yet another chapter review, and today we will go over chapter 233, which is insane. Be sure to stick till the end because you don’t want to miss it.
Hiyori’s Backstory
As we begin chapter 233, we get thrown back into Hiyori’s backstory where he just fell down a flight of stairs thanks to his mom and dad arguing. They rush over but aren’t worried about him, not even in the slightest. They are only concerned about his precious football leg, and even the mom has the audacity to tell him how much time and money they have invested into Hiyori. It was at that moment he realized that his parents sadly didn’t love him, and all they cared about was his specs.
Hiyori’s Change in Attitude
That tragic day left Hiyori in despair. Since that day, his passion and attitude for football changed. Before, he only played football because it made his parents happy, but now he only plays football because he doesn’t want to break up his family. Hiyori acknowledges that his attitude towards football is pathetic, but even so, he doesn’t have anything else that he can fully devote himself to.
Meeting Carrasutobito
Hiyori’s eyes are filled with emptiness as he begins to coast through life, trying to find something that could ignite his passion. Then, he meets Carrasutobito, who tells Hiyori to forget about people’s expectations and to start with believing in himself. He needs to find something that truly gets his blood pumping.
Hiyori’s Purpose at Blue Lock
Hiyori desperately wanted to get away from his parents and that miserable household, which was the sole reason he came to Blue Lock. He did his best to survive because he didn’t want to go home. He clung to that ego, helping Asahi in the third selection and the U-20 match. Now, it’s time for the User’s Game.
The User’s Game Begins
Richie screams at Bastard Munch to stop Uber’s counterattack. Hiyori runs back to help alongside Isagi, thinking about how fast the Users are playing and how he’s slowly falling behind. He realizes the quality of their plays and that Beu’s leadership is getting the best out of them, which is something Hiyori is still learning to do.
Unlocking His Potential
Seeing Isagi’s drive to become the world’s best player, Hiyori realizes his role in Isagi’s evolution. He understands that he isn’t just playing; he’s the key to unlocking Isagi’s potential. Hiyori finds a new purpose in making Isagi the king of football.
The Turning Point
The ball falls onto Niko’s shoe, bouncing up, but Lorenzo sweeps it away. Hiyori steps in, telling them he also has metavision. His fierce look shows his determination to support Isagi. The chapter ends with a promise of their new winning formula.
Final Thoughts and Predictions
It was inspiring to see Hiyori finally find a reason to play for himself, no longer controlled by his parents. He’s evolving into a force to be reckoned with. The next chapter, titled “Producer,” has everyone guessing its meaning. The panels were incredible, showing Hiyori’s determination to support Isagi.
Looking Forward to the Paris Match
The Paris match will be exciting, with many characters getting the spotlight. There might be players getting dropped after this arc as the focus shifts. I’m most looking forward to Hiyori and Kaassu’s interactions, along with Kira’s performance, which we’ve all been waiting for.
