Review
Alright, so today I’m back with yet another chapter review, and today we will go over chapter 238, which is insane. Be sure to stick till the end because you don’t want to miss it. Anyway, I’m gonna stop talking, and let’s get right into the chapter.
Chapter Breakdown
The Start of the Attack
We began chapter 238 with Hiori trying to run high up on the field. As we know from the last chapter, Hiori and Isagi have cooked up a wonder plan to seize this last goal, but how will they really do it? That is the real question. Niko knows that he can’t stop Hiori in a one-on-one by himself, which leads him to his only option, to try his best and slow down Hiori’s attack.
Isagi and His Strategy
As Isagi is waiting by the defenders, Ruu says that right now, Isagi is playing off Hiori’s movements to receive the final pass. Ruu is set on keeping him locked down and refusing to let Isagi move freely. However, it isn’t just Ruu who’s deep in his thoughts; Aiku is carefully analyzing the field, saying that Kaiser’s only intent is to forcibly snatch the winning goal, so he knows not to take his eyes off Kaiser.
The Duel Between Hiori and Niko
Kaiser is coming towards Isagi while saying that he will “kill him,” and I know that this is Blue Lock, but that seems a bit too far, even for Kaiser. Hiori is currently going crazy against Niko. He’s dribbling the ball so fast that Niko has absolutely no idea which way Hiori is looking to go. Just as Niko goes in to challenge Hiori, he moves to the left side, opening the pass route.
The Moment of Truth
As Isagi is getting ready to receive the pass, Aiku notices that Hiori is planning to shoot the ball all by himself. However, Lorenzo suddenly appears and calls him selfish but admits that this is what Blue Lock is all about. In a twist, Hiori fakes his move, leaving Niko and Lorenzo confused.
The Climactic Goal
The ball goes up in the air, and that’s when Baru enters the scene. He taunts Hiori, saying that without Isagi, he’s just an insignificant lackey. But Hiori has a look in his eyes like never before. Finally, Hiori makes a pass to Isagi, who, without looking, starts sprinting. Isagi gets into position and unleashes an unbelievable shot that secures Bastard Munch’s lead.
The Aftermath
Isagi and Hiori’s Celebration
Isagi and Hiori are ecstatic as they jump into each other’s arms to celebrate this incredible goal. The text at the bottom reads: “The word IMPOSSIBLE doesn’t exist in Isagi’s and Hiori’s lexicon.”
Future Implications
The next chapter is titled “Creation,” and it’s unclear what that could mean. Perhaps they will delve deeper into how they created this incredible play. The synergy between Isagi and Hiori was amazing to witness, and it seems like they have reached a new level in their game.
Final Thoughts
This chapter was one of the most intense in Blue Lock so far, showcasing the growth and trust between Isagi and Hiori. Their ability to play without even looking at each other is reminiscent of the coordination seen in other sports anime. The chapter also hints at further developments for other characters like Kaiser and Baru, as well as their future roles in the team.
