Review
Alright, today I’m back with yet another chapter review, and today we will go over chapter 240, which is insane. So be sure to stick till the end because you don’t want to miss it anyway.
The Aftermath of Paris and Manshine City Match
We began chapter 240 with the aftermath of the Paris and Manshine City match. Rin is exhausted after his incredible hat-trick performance on the Marine City team. Nai is on the ground after getting dropped by Rin in their duel. However, as Rin is walking away, Nai stops him. He tells Rin that he just keeps on getting stronger and stronger, which is something amazing to Nai, and he then asks Rin what drives him to become even stronger with a rather determined look in his eyes.
Rin’s Motivation
Rin is surprised and says that Nai already knows the answer: to surpass his older brother Itoshi Sa and destroy Isagi. Nagai understands but isn’t quite satisfied, asking Rin what will happen when he accomplishes all of that and what Rin’s next step will be. Rin replies that he doesn’t care and compares it to a newborn baby thinking about dying — once they’re born, the only thing to do is survive.
Isagi’s Moment of Triumph
Back at the German stratum, Isagi reflects on his deal with Kaiser at the beginning of the match, which was that the one who scored the most goals would win. Isagi celebrates his success, thinking he finally surpassed Kaiser, but his joy is cut short when the megaphones announce the results of the match.
The Auction Rankings
The announcement reveals that 29 players have received bids from various clubs. The players ranked from 24th to 29th are listed, with Naas barely making it in at the 29th spot. The top 23 players are selected to represent Japan in the U-20 World Cup, with Tokimitsu squeezing in at the 23rd place.
The Top Players
The rankings of the top 11 players get even more intense. Players like Ruu, Rio, Yukimia, AIK, and others secure their spots, with each receiving significant offers. The climax is reached with Baru, Isagi, and Rin occupying the top positions, followed by a massive bid for Kaiser from Real Madrid.
Kaiser’s Determination
Kaiser surprises everyone by dismissing the massive offer from Real Madrid, declaring his intention to surpass Isagi. This sets up a thrilling rivalry between Rin, Isagi, and Kaiser as they all aim to become the best player in the world.
Final Thoughts and Next Chapter Preview
The chapter ends with the three rivals vowing to destroy each other, setting the stage for an epic showdown between Paris and Bastard. The next chapter is titled “Taiwan and Nato,” which may focus on the teams celebrating their victory.
