Review

Welcome back everyone! Natsu here, and today I’m bringing you yet another chapter review. We’ll be diving into Chapter 251 of Blue Lock, titled Box Seat. Trust me, this chapter was absolutely insane, so stick around until the end because you won’t want to miss a thing!

Chapter Opening: Rin Takes Control

Chapter 251 kicks off with Rin, who has just stolen the ball from Kaiser. His shoes are literally steaming, and you can tell that Kaiser is furious. Rin criticizes Kaiser’s shooting as too predictable and even calls him a “blue rose” before declaring that this field belongs to none other than Rin himself.

With that bold statement, Rin charges at full speed toward Bastard München. Meanwhile, Bastard München’s players, Hiori and Kuon, prepare to stop him. But Rin just laughs at the thought and challenges them to try and crush him. Using his incredible occlusion break, he skillfully maneuvers past Kuon, Raimi, and even Ness, all without breaking a sweat.

Ness is left shocked, realizing that Rin’s technique, speed, and touch are all off the charts, as he faces Blue Lock’s number one player, Rin. Even with this revelation, Ness still tries to get the ball back. Meanwhile, Chigiri and Tokimitsu call out for passes, but Rin has no intention of passing the ball to either of them.

Flashback: Nanase’s Determination

At this point, we flash back to 15 days ago during a French team training session. We see a determined Nanase bowing down to Rin, asking to become his disciple, even if it means being a mere pawn. Rin is disgusted and calls him a loser, but Nanase refuses to give up. Nanase explains that if things continue as they are, he won’t get to play a single game and begs Rin to teach him.

After some pushback, Rin finally relents but makes it clear that Nanase will be his property, and he needs to train harder than everyone else. We then see Nanase pushing himself to the limit, training tirelessly to live up to Rin’s expectations.

Nanase’s Hidden Potential

During training, Rin notices something surprising about Nanase. It turns out that despite thinking his right leg is dominant, Nanase is actually ambidextrous, meaning he can use both legs equally well. This revelation blows Nanase’s mind and sets the stage for his potential future growth.

Returning to the present game, Nanase is running at full speed, inspired by Rin’s discovery of his hidden ability. With flames in his eyes, he vows to become a linchpin player and passes the ball back to Rin before collapsing. Rin is impressed, calling Nanase a “naturally gifted hick,” and prepares to shoot the ball toward the goal.

Kaiser and Isagi’s Interference

As Rin is about to shoot, Kaiser swoops in, blocking his path, while Isagi comes from the other side, puzzle pieces swirling in his mind. Isagi mocks Rin, repeating Rin’s earlier words to Kaiser about being useless if he can’t score. But Rin is unfazed. He smiles, stating that this is the moment he’s been waiting for.

Rin grabs Isagi by the shirt, forcing him to watch as he prepares to take a shot, telling him that he’s got a box seat view of Rin becoming the world’s best player. Just as Rin takes the shot, Hiori appears out of nowhere, blocking the ball and telling Rin and Isagi to stop flirting with each other!

Hiori Steals the Spotlight

Everyone is left in shock, including Rin, Isagi, and Kaiser. Hiori’s eyes are full of intensity as he taunts Rin, saying his setup was too predictable. He challenges Rin to come at him with an unpredictable script if he really wants to score a goal.

Rin looks annoyed, but Isagi is awestruck, staring at Hiori with stars in his eyes. The chapter ends with a text box teasing the next chapter, The Best Performance, as the race to become the game’s protagonist heats up.

Final Thoughts

So, what did you think of this chapter? For me, the whole box seat moment between Rin and Isagi has to be one of the most disrespectful moves in the series! But with Hiori’s amazing block, it didn’t go as planned for Rin.

I’m curious to know what happens next! Leave your thoughts and theories in the comments below. If you’re interested in more chapters, there will be one popping up on your screen soon. Thanks for watching, and have a great day! Bye!
