Review

Today we will go over Chapter 264, which is going to be something really special as we will dive into Kiora’s past. He wonders if he is going to side with Kaiser or Isagi. We also see Kaiser going absolutely crazy on the pitch, even using himself off another player from the Blue Lock squad.

But the most interesting thing is that it’s really starting to heat up, and a full-on attack is right around the corner—something you definitely don’t want to miss. Be sure to stick till the end because you don’t want to miss anything! Now, I’m going to stop talking and let’s get right into the chapter.

Chapter Overview

Alright, to start off with Chapter 264, the text at the top says, “This calm guy quietly seeks an opening between the boundary lines.” After that, we see the most mysterious player in Blue Lock—Kira Jin. However, that’s not all, as we finally get an insight into his life. The text says that Kira Jin is always destined to stand at the boundary line.

Kira’s Backstory

The first boundary was when Kira was in his mother’s womb. His mother suffered a serious illness and was told by doctors that her survival rate after giving birth was only 50%. Despite this, Kira was able to draw the chance of life and was born strong into this world.

Fast forward a bit, and we learn that Kira has two siblings. He got caught between a short-tempered older brother and a rowdy younger brother, leading to constant quarrels in the Kira household. Even at a young age, Kira thought about which brother would be more advantageous for him to side with, thinking that his presence determined the victor.

Kira’s Dilemma

Even in Blue Lock, this nature bears its fangs as Kira survives the boundaries of battle and finds his way to this point. Right now, his destiny comes around again, and it’s his first and last opportunity to participate. He looks at both Asahi and Kaiser, wondering which side he should take to survive. This is no easy decision, as it could be a life-or-death choice for him.

Kaiser and Isagi’s Showdown

We then leave Kira and get to Kaiser and Isagi, who are going crazy on the pitch. Isagi is fully locked in, thinking that the field is completely revolving around him. He notes that all the movements of his allies are centered on him and even the enemy’s vigilance is at its peak.

Kaiser, on the other hand, is starting to aim for the goal on his own, abandoning the cooperation with Ness. The most shocking part is that Kaiser is now willing to pass to Blue Lock members for the sake of his own goal. Isagi realizes that Kaiser is trying to invade his stronghold using psychology and is determined to crush him.

Conflict Between Blue Lock Members

Isagi passes the ball to our favorite shark, who traps it flawlessly. However, Tokimitsu blocks his way, determined to stop the Isagi-Krona combo. But soon after, Nanase joins the fray and manages to steal the ball from Krona, leaving Tokimitsu frustrated that Nanase took away his credit.

As Nanase tries to make his escape, Kaiser charges at him full force, and Isagi, watching from the sidelines, realizes that Kaiser is targeting the flaws in other players, not just him.

The Strategic Play

Kaiser, using psychological manipulation, forces Kunigami to pass the ball back to him, taking advantage of the fact that Kunigami’s movements are restricted due to his broken relationship with Shida. Isagi, watching, acknowledges that Kaiser is a world-type egoist, willing to abandon everything for results.

As the game continues, Kaiser runs into trouble when Rin and Karasu both try to stop him. All three collide, and the ball ends up in the hands of Hiyori, who tells Kaiser his luck has run out. Hiyori passes the ball to Isagi to create the “Ultimate Triangle” play with Corona.

Unexpected Turn: Charles Intervenes

Just as Isagi is about to score, Charles intervenes and stops the ball, surprising everyone. Isagi is visibly frustrated as Charles asks if he’s annoyed. Despite Charles’ earlier lack of motivation, he is now fully engaged in the game again.

Ness’s Role and Final Thoughts

The ball eventually lands with Ness, who tells Kaiser that it’s not over yet. Ness is determined to make a game-changing pass to Kaiser, despite Kaiser betraying him twice earlier. Kira is also seen in the panel, hinting that he will play a significant role soon.

In conclusion, this chapter has set the stage for a major decision by Kira and a strategic battle between Kaiser, Isagi, and the rest of the Blue Lock players. I’m excited to see how Kira’s choice and Ness’s play will unfold in the next chapter!
