Blue Lock Manga Chapter 271
Review
Today we are reviewing Blue Lock chapters 271. These chapters are truly something special as we get more of Rin and Say’s backstory, which is always a win! Plus, we’ll witness the start of the long-awaited matchup between Kaiser and Rin—and trust me, it's going to be insane! So stick around because this review is packed with intense moments.
The Atoshi Brothers
The chapter starts off strong with the text, “The Atoshi Brothers in their Early Days.” We get a flashback of Rin and Say coming home after eating ice cream. As they walk in, their parents greet them with an irritated tone. Rin’s mother accuses him of breaking another toy, and she’s clearly fed up. But in a surprising twist, Say steps in and takes the blame for the broken toy, even though Rin was responsible.
Rin is shocked by this, and so are their parents. Say explains that he accidentally broke the toy out of frustration. Their mom reacts emotionally, while their dad takes Say aside for a private talk. The chapter transitions from this emotional moment to an epic battle scene where a dinosaur is attacking a city.
The Dinosaur Attack and Elman's Final Evolution
The citizens are panicking, believing it's the end of the world. But suddenly, Elman starts to glow and stand up, despite everyone thinking it had no power left. As Elman undergoes its final evolution, it asks the world to share their life force, which they do without hesitation. Energy gathers in Elman’s hand, forming a massive lightning blast that critically hits the dinosaur.
After this intense scene, we return to the normal Blue Lock world, where Rin’s classmates are imitating Elman’s final attack in class. Their sensei, touched by the special effects, even admits to crying after watching the last episode!
Rin’s Strange Behavior
We then shift focus back to Rin. He’s acting oddly, and his friends notice when he doesn’t play his turn in a game of Jenga and instead collapses the tower. Outside, Rin tries to catch birds, but they evade him, leaving him with a bleeding nose. It’s clear that something deeper is going on with Rin.
Later, Rin is watching TV, where a tiger catches and attacks a deer. His expression is unreadable—he looks both shocked and fascinated at the same time. This confusion reflects Rin's internal struggles, and we get a glimpse of his complex emotions when he overhears his parents discussing his troublesome behavior.
Sibling Bond: Rin and Say
As Rin listens to his parents’ conversation, Say comes downstairs and offers him ice cream, but Rin refuses. We see a moment of vulnerability from Rin when he asks Say if he thinks he’s weird. Say brushes it off and reassures Rin, showing that their bond is strong, despite everything.
This brotherly moment echoes throughout the chapter, as Rin later admits he admires the “final monster” from the Elman TV show because it fights to the end, even when it’s outmatched. Rin sees himself in that monster and expresses a desire to one day face someone amazing, destroy them, and then self-destruct—an intense declaration that shocks Say.
Rin vs. Kaiser: The Ultimate Showdown
Just as we get back into the present day of the Blue Lock game, Kaiser suddenly steps in, calling Rin a “foul-mouthed, tongue-waging monk.” The tension between them is through the roof as the two rivals prepare for a face-off, with both of them more determined than ever before. The chapter ends with the text, “Giving your all to know your ego, engraved this way of life on the world,” setting up an epic battle for the next chapter.
Final Thoughts and Predictions
This chapter was mostly about Rin and Say’s backstory, which was really touching. The scene where Say takes the blame for Rin was particularly heartwarming and shows the brotherly bond they share. There’s been talk that Say doesn’t care about Rin, but this chapter clearly proves otherwise.
One part that stuck with me was Rin saying he wants to fight someone amazing, destroy them, and then die—does this mean he’ll quit after beating Asahi? I doubt it, but it’s an interesting thought. Also, Isagi’s appearance toward the end was strange. I’m excited to see how the upcoming Rin vs. Kaiser battle plays out. Personally, I think Kaiser will stop Rin from scoring, but I’m curious to hear your thoughts!
